The distributor is at the heart of the engine's ignition system. Its 3 basic functions are to trigger the firing of the ignition coil, to control timing advance, and to distribute the coils high voltage output to the individual spark plugs.

This electronic HEI distributor is a direct factory replacement of the original factory unit with no modifications to wiring on Holden 6 Cylinder Blue and Black EFI Motors in Holden WB Series and Holden VC-VH-VK Commodores.

This particular HEI distributor can be installed in a Holden Six Cylinder Red Motor as performance upgrade and will drop straight in with minimal extra wiring. Simply install a HEI electronic ignition coil and supply a full 12 volts to the positive on the coil. You will also need to change your ignition leads to suit the male towers on the distributor cap.
